CPSC 3395 - RESPIRATORY CLINICS II[3 Credits] This course is the second of five clinical courses during which students develop the clinical skills necessary to become a competent respiratory therapist. In this course, students will gain competence in the respiratory care of adult patients in critical care units and pediatric patients receiving non-intensive care. During adult critical care rotations, students employ advanced monitoring techniques, blood gas sampling and analysis, airway suctioning and specimen collection, mechanical ventilation, care and removal of artificial airways, and application of skills learned in CPSC 3285.
