DHY 3205 - INTRODUCTORY CLINIC

[3 Credits]
A clinical course that applies techniques, procedures, and information presented in Pre-Clinic. The course consists of dental hygiene treatment of patients with a variety of periodontal conditions and varying degrees of difficulty, delivery of oral health instructions, and the application of fluoride. Radiographs, such as complete mouth series and panoramic radiographs are also taken in this course. The course is supplemented by didactic seminars, which includes topics such as and introduction to special needs patients, the orthodontic patient, and the pediatric patient.
