BCHS 6216 - HEALTH PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING

This course will apply principles of program planning to developing health promotion program plans in partnership with communities. It will cover topics of needs assessments, setting program objectives, logic models, designing culturally-appropriate intervention strategies, designing program organization/management, budgeting, and program implementation. Practical skills will be developed through the process of writing a health program grant proposal. The course will develop the ability to plan for the design, development, and implementation of strategies to improve individual and community health.
