INTER 300 - AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE I

This course uses an interactive approach to build basic conversational skills in American Sign Language (ASL). Vocabulary and grammar are introduced in context, with a focus on everyday communication and sharing information. Receptive and expressive language skills are fostered through immersive ASL lessons without voice. Aspects of Deaf culture are introduced, with an emphasis on Deaf experiences in healthcare settings.
