MCLIN 355 - LATINE HEALTH HONORS PROGRAM - YEAR 3

This is the third in a series of courses required for the Latine Health Scholars Honors Track, a program that aims to increase the number of healthcare providers who have proficiency in medical Spanish and the skills and understanding necessary to work toward reducing barriers and improving healthcare for the increasing population of patients with limited English proficiency. The course is comprised of seminars for linguistic and cultural engagement in which students are expected to take a mentorship role for more junior students in the program. Students will complete the Canopy Learn course and will begin to engage with the Canopy Credential program for bilingual staff credentialing. Students will demonstrate continued engagement with the scholarly project that began in MCLIN 255 and will uphold school expectations regarding professional behavior.
