PEDO 5307 - ADVANCED CLINICAL PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY[5-10 Credits] The general objective of this course is to provide the first and second year postgraduate student with experience in treating children with varied social and medical problems. Through careful supervision, the student should become competent in clinical activities such as complex restorations, space management, orthodontic records, management of trauma to the orofacial complex and the provision of restorative dentistry utilizing conscious sedation. Clinical pediatric dentistry provides the postgraduate student with opportunities to diagnose and treat oral disease and anomalies and traumatic injuries to the dentition.
